hey man what’s wrong with you
the usual
well maybe you should blearily wake up at 5:08 in the pre-dawn light and find the sleeping soft tiny mammal body of your cat just inches from your head like a miracle too beautiful for speech, and you should rustle one hand out from your blankets to rub fingertip circles across the warm eggshell dome of her little velvet-wrapped skull and on the bristly patches just where the cups of her ears begin, and as she inclines her head into your fingers and purrs without ever opening her little eyes you should feel a love so tender that you understand how that love could have reached out from the fireside into the inky spangled nights long gone to reach her, and then you’ll feel better
i am at a complete loss as to how to adequately express to you how much this cat throws up yeah

forever grateful i was simply too lazy to let the makeup industrial complex get its hooks in me. I was just like im not doing all of that. in fact. im doing none of that
yeah I have political reasons for it now but my original and still most powerful reason is “I am not getting out of this bed one single second before I have to”
People who hate Frodo Baggins are my enemy. “He didn’t do anything and was useless”–yeah, okay, so what you’re not understanding is that he was the sacrificial lamb. He endured physical, mental, and emotional torment that got worse and worse as his will broke. Everyone knew this. EVERYONE KNEW THIS. That’s why everyone was devastated about it. Because Frodo was the most innocent among them, that was the entire point. He represented ordinary peaceful people being destroyed by the horrors of war. And as a hobbit he also represented some of the last vestiges of magic in what was basically a post magic apocalypse.
Frodo was basically an innocent puppy thrown into the Torment Nexus so that EVERYONE ELSE could maybe have a hope of surviving. And he did that willingly. HE DID IT OF HIS OWN FREE WILL, KNOWING IT WOULD RUIN HIM.
Frodo haters won’t see the light of heaven
there’s a fine line between being wary of manipulation and becoming completely paranoid because you get very close to the realisation that pretty much all human interaction involves doing things we hope will lead to a result we like
this post is about a lot of things. it’s about my ex saying it was manipulative to talk to them in a cute voice because that influenced their emotions. it’s also about someone on this webbed site saying being funny is “engagement farming”. like yeah every single conversation you have is going to be “manipulative” if your standard for that is “did something with the goal of eliciting a response”. if that bothers you go live in a hut in the forest and speak only to the trees. I’ll be over here manipulating my friends into being happy by giving them compliments
they need to start making clothes out of material that can clean glasses well again
